I came across this interesting post about the challenges web analytics practitioners are facing. Lack of relevant talent/skills was fifth on the list. That might very well have been first, though. I’ve found that few truly understand how to interpret this data - or what to do with it once it’s interpreted. I believe web analytics consulting will become bigger business in the years ahead as more companies realize they need what these stats have to offer - actionable information.
