Conversion Design Catching On
Jan 9th, 2007  by Jennifer LeClaire

I was pleasantly surprised to see use of the term Conversion Design on Craig Cannings’ blog at blog.esalesguru.com. My partner, Pedro Sostre, coined the term and began teaching readers about it in his Revenue magazine column, “By Design Makeover.”

Conversion Design, as Pedro defined it, is where business goals meet aesthetics. It’s bottom line design with a single goal in mind: to turn online traffic into online sales by leveraging proven design philosophies.

We were writing a book on the topic when we got sidetracked with a Wiley project (Web Analytics For Dummies) but we’re about to turn our attention back to this revolutionary concept.

Stay tuned for more discussion about this important topic.
